The D-TEC IIŽ safety unit provides overhead power line and obstacle detection and above the mast illumination. The built-in anti-collision system automatically stops mast extension, providing added protection from overhead hazards for the operator and equipment. The D-TEC IIŽ safety systems is available for pneumatic telescoping masts and the Nightscan 3.0, Nightscan 4.5 and Nightscan Vertical light towers. This safety unit is equipped with the Emergency Bypass System, providing a safe means of bypassing the D-TEC IIŽ in the rare event a malfunction or false trip occurs preventing mast extension.
